Every slab we make is tested, measured, and proven — before it ever reaches your project.
Independent laboratory results for Krystallos engineered quartz — strength, hygiene, and durability you can specify with confidence.

Eight measures of lasting performance
Near-zero porosity means spills stay on the surface — no soaking, swelling, or hidden moisture damage around sinks and wet areas.
Resists bending and cracking under load, allowing longer unsupported spans and generous overhangs on islands and counters.
Harder than steel knives and everyday abrasives. Daily use — cutting, sliding cookware, keys — leaves no mark.
Wine, coffee, turmeric, and household chemicals wipe clean without penetrating or discoloring the surface.
Withstands years of scrubbing and foot-traffic-level wear without dulling — the polish you install is the polish that stays.
The non-porous surface gives mold and mildew nowhere to root, even in humid kitchens and bathrooms.
Bacteria cannot colonize the surface, making it safe for direct food-prep areas and healthcare settings.
Broad-spectrum testing confirms a hygienic surface that stays clean with simple soap and water.
Independently verified. Not our word — the lab's.
All results come from a full material test report by Sanray Laboratories, an accredited independent testing facility. Report dated 26 February 2018.
What the numbers mean
A plain-language guide to specifying Krystallos in kitchens, baths, and high-traffic commercial spaces.
How much moisture the material soaks up when submerged. At one-tenth of one percent, Krystallos is effectively waterproof — specify it around sinks, in bathrooms, and in outdoor kitchens without sealing.
How much bending force a slab tolerates before failing. 39.2 megapascals is well above natural granite — fewer support brackets, slimmer profiles, and confident cantilevered designs.
Mineral hardness on a 1–10 scale where diamond is 10. At 7, quartz outranks knife steel and glass — clients can work directly on the surface without visible wear.
Tested against common household reagents with no visible effect. In practice: no sealing schedule, no special cleaners, no anxiety about red wine on a white counter.
Simulates years of scouring and traffic. A wear index above 100 means the polished finish holds up in commercial lobbies and restaurant counters, not just residential kitchens.
Three separate tests — fungal, bacterial, and microbial — confirm nothing grows on the surface. Relevant for food-prep zones, hospitals, labs, and any project with hygiene requirements.
